Prevention guide

Pest prevention for holiday rental properties

Between changeovers and quiet periods, holiday rentals give pests the one thing they like most: time undisturbed.

Build checks into the changeover routine

Ask housekeeping to note droppings, gnaw marks, ants on worktops or insects in cupboards and report them through one clear channel. Early reports are what keep small issues small.

Plan for empty periods

Before the villa closes for a season, empty bins, clear pantries of opened food, check for leaks and make sure drainage runs away from the building.

Keep the outside tidy

Stored garden furniture, pool equipment, cardboard and building materials give pests shelter. Store items off the ground where possible, and keep vegetation clear of the walls.

Tell us what you have noticed

Describe the pest problem, the property and the area of Koh Samui it is in. We will come back to you with the next sensible step.
